patterns

Good Morning Everyone!

I am often asked about decor trends and color schemes. One aspect of decor I find people struggle with is incorporating textures and patterns. Once again, we want to make use of trends but in a simple way. Next time you are getting your house ready for a party, don’t be afraid to use colors!

You can incorporate patterns in so many ways and doing so adds a pop to the whole look of your space.

Here are some of my favorite ways to do this-enjoy!

I love a good table runner!! I actually have the white and teal one to the right and I keep it on my table for everyday use. Patterned runners are a huge trend right now and if you can’t find one you like-make one! (see bottom left)

The runners posted above (from top left to bottom right) can be found at Bed Bath and Beyond, Crate & Barrel and Z Gallerie.

Napkins are also a great option for this trend:

If you’re not sure about a patterned napkin, test it out with paper napkins. Find them at your local party store, craft store, Target etc. Linen napkins shown above are from West Elm.

Once again, my love for paper lanterns! They are so simple, they can be used inside or outside and they come in solids or patterns. Also a fun way to add textures temporarily.

Stay tuned for a few of my favorite party appetizers in tomorrow’s post!

wishing you all a wonderful day!
