gingerbread treats

Happy Monday Everyone!

We are in South Florida this week with friends and family and today is all about entertaining. We are working away preparing a dinner party and one of our desserts is gingerbread truffles.

Gingerbread cookies are a traditional activity for a lot of people. It’s so much fun to decorate the gingerbread men and houses etc.

For day 4 of 12 days of Christmas I thought I would share some gingerbread treats with all of you!

the cookie exchange

Ah it is already December 6th! Can you guys believe Christmas is just 19 days away.

This weekend we are hosting a cookie exchange and I absolutely love this tradition for getting friends & family together.

For those of you who have yet to have one of these parties, you have to try it! It is so much fun and can be done 2 ways.

1. Get all attendees to bring a batch of cookies then set-up buffet style for everyone to grab a few of each and take home a mixed box.

2. Everyone brings a recipe and spends the day baking together- you then get to bring home a few of each type.

Here’s some inspiration

wishing you all a wonderful day!

Hi Everyone!

Happy Saturday! I hope you all have a great day planned. I will be spending mine with my guy and then we are having a bbq with friends tonight.. sounds like the perfect day right? I think so!

When I am hosting and especially when I am a guest in someone else’s home, I like to bring an appetizer or a dessert.  When asked to bring a dessert I like to try something different every time. Although it is nice to be known for a specific recipe I find it exciting to try a new recipe!

It seems everyone loves a good cookie (or a good cookie with ice cream!). Next time you are making cookies, why not try something different? I want to share some unique, simple and delicious cookie recipes I have come across lately.

Lemon Crinkle Cookies

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Coconut Cookies
