5 benefits to hiring an event planner

Good morning everyone,

Welcome back to creative entertaining. Last weekend I were part of the planning for a 13th birthday party and our client was so happy she featured us on a lifestyle post in her business blog. Today I am sharing part of that post and telling you about my 5 benefits to hiring an event planner!

1. You’ll get more for your dollar– Planners often have connections to vendors and wholesalers. They can negotiate with these contacts and get you the best deals.

2. They are creative! Planners have done this before and will have creative ways of putting things together to make your event look awesome without breaking the budget!

3. Someone is there to help you set up and tear down. Hosting a party can be a long day and having someone on site to help you – or do the setting up for you – can be a huge stress reliever!

4. Planners can help you develop your theme and stay focused. There are so many options these days! Having someone help you stay on track and coordinate the different aspects of the event can be very helpful.

5. Your time is valuable- this is their job. Hire someone who is priced reasonably and you will enjoy giving your input and then letting the professionals get things done so you can work on everything else going on in your life.

color trend: radiant orchid

Good morning everyone!

This weekend was filled with brides, sparkles and colors. My weekend inspired this post- Pantone’s color of the year (2014) is Radiant Orchid is slowly starting to show up and it’s exciting. I was kind of surprised by this color choice, but I like it. It’s bright, comes in many pretty shades and goes well with other colors and neutrals (which I love!).

5 reasons to hire an event planner

Happy Saturday everyone!

I hope you are all having a great weekend so far. Whether you are taking some time to yourself to relax or out and about getting things done, enjoy it!

December is the most popular month for engagements- 60% of engagements happen over the holiday season (crazy right??)

Being in the events industry, January is a very busy month connecting with new clients and following up with those who are already booked. I love working smaller events; intimate weddings, baby showers, engagement parties, milestone birthdays, cocktail parties etc. I have a passion for working closely with the client to create a memorable celebration.

For those who are recently engaged or planning a special celebration, here are my top 5 reasons why you should hire an event planner:

1. We go through a step by step process to ensure your event is entertaining and the details are taken care of.

2. We work for you to make sure things happen on time, on budget and within the theme. We are up to date on trends and we’re usually filled with ideas.

3. We keep you on track and organized. Planning can get overwhelming- it’s not for everyone so sometimes it’s best to leave it up to those in the industry. We often have tips, tricks and connections to give you a different perspective on issues.

4. If and when a problem arises, an event planner can most often take care of it without the guests or host being aware.

5. Most of the time we know the vendors. People are more likely to remember an event where things went wrong (ex: the dj didn’t show up, caterer was horrible) and that’s not the type of memories you want your guests to walk away with!

You want to enjoy this special time with friends and family and we make sure that happens 🙂
