I like to write “products I love” posts every once in a while to share some great shopping finds. Today’s post is the accessories edition.
Here’s what I am loving right now!
Essie’s Carry On- a great fall color appropriate for work and weekends
I love this business bag- Dironett from Aldo. It’s stylish and efficient to ensure you have everything you need, perfect!
Side shoulder bags may be the best thing ever to make their way to the top of the handbag market. It’s so nice to run errands or go out without worrying about carrying a purse. It fits the necessities and can add a bright pop of color to your outfits. These two options are available at Target.
LaLaCrystal- Check it out on etsy. These earrings and necklace are simple, cute and will work well with any look.
Every girl needs a great watch. This polka dot Kate Spade wrist band adds a fun touch to the watch.
Last but not least, a Town & Reese bracelet. I love the simplicity. This bracelet would look pretty on it’s own or stacked with other bracelets and/or a watch.
That’s all for now- exciting announcement tomorrow!
This Thanksgiving weekend was great; the weather, the food & the company.
It is so hard to judge how much to cook for groups and often we have so many leftovers (not having enough to feed everyone is something I always fear). So what to do with all the food that is left?
Here’s what we are doing:
Turkey Paninis : Stack your turkey on a yummy italian bread, top with mozzarella, spinach, roasted artichoke & garlic spread and then heat it up on a panini press. So simple and so tasty on it’s own or with your favourite soup/salad.
Turkey Quesadillas: such a tasty quick lunch or dinner. Use flour tortillas, any sauce & toppings you like plus some cheese. Top with another tortilla and bake in the oven until golden brown or on the stove top in a frying pan. I like it nice and simple : pesto mayo, chopped red onion & shredded mozzarella.
Thanksgiving seems to be a holiday favourite for a lot of families.. it must be the season, the delicious menus and having those you love around you. It’s taking a moment to remind yourself of all the good things in life.
grateful. feeling or showing an appreciation of kindness.
There’s no better reason to celebrate. And for all us Canadians, Thanksgiving is just one week away! So this week’s blog is all about the holiday. I’m going to be giving tips on decor, entertaining and of course, share some great recipes.
To start the week let’s get inspired by Thanksgiving centrepieces:
I love all of these options because they are so simple yet so pretty. Use pumpkins of all sizes, paint them, accessorize them or fill them with flowers. Fill a regular cylinder vase with tiny pumpkins and make them different by using a combination of orange, cream and gold (not into the DIY painting project? You can buy these already done!) Use a woodbox, leafs, branches, garlands or indian corn and get creative. Check out the pumpkin inspiration post and use smaller personalized pumpkins in the centre of your table.
Feel free to send me your fall decor projects- I love seeing what you guys are up to.
Be sure to check in tomorrow for some yummy Thanksgiving dessert ideas.
Today was one of those completely inspiring days. The weather was warm & sunny, I got to catch up with an old friend and enjoy some girl time. Telling her about events, decor and ideas I have been working on just lead to even more ideas and inspiration!
Earlier this summer I shared my love for peonies (they can be found in darker shades for the fall) and today I am posting about fall flowers. I have seen so many gorgeous bouquets and I cannot wait to work on fall events to put my ideas into action.
Many summer flowers such as calla lilies and roses come in these bright fall colors. Also popular for this time of year are marigolds, mums, sunflowers, snapdragons, ranunculus and scabiosa. Best filler for any season and any budget? Hydrangea.
I shared some of my favourite cookie recipes last month (you can find that post here) and today i’m going to share a few more! I pretty much collect cookie recipes… they are one of my favourite snacks/desserts.
