Happy Monday Everyone!

Today’s post is all about this weekend’s happenings..

I got to spend some quality time with friends and family over lunch and downtown shopping!

Then I met for coffee with an awesome florist to talk about the industry and she provided me with these beautiful arrangements for a photo shoot I was doing Sunday.

Here are some sneak peeks of the shoot staged with The Millionaire’s Daughter

I promised you guys some yummy dinner recipes this week so here’s the first!

We had White Chicken Lasagna last night and it was so good! I love this dinner with a salad-and it freezes well, perfect for nights when you don’t want to cook or don’t have time to!

This week we’ll talk about DIY home organization, more dinner recipes and some wedding trends for 2014.

wishing you all a wonderful day!

The first week of 2014 has come and gone and after discussing the beginning of a new year with everyone over the last few days, I’ve decided to share thoughts with all of you as well.

I love hearing what everyone’s favourite moment of 2013 was, because even if you didn’t have the best year, there’s got to be one moment that made you truly happy.

I like to set goals for the year, not necessarily resolutions, not changes or breaking habits but something to look forward to!

It’s true what they say, people who love to eat are always the best people. I am going to continue my cooking adventure! Food brings people together so I will to try new recipes, entertain, and enjoy my guests.

I’ve made it a goal to save and go somewhere I’ve never been. A little adventure is always necessary

I will continue to learn, network and make connections.

Recipes for Holiday Leftovers

Good morning everyone!

I hope you all had wonderful holidays!

I had a great time with friends and family and got to play host a few times as well. I know most of you (like me )probably have quite a few leftovers in your fridge, so I thought today I would share some ideas on how to make use of those classic leftovers.

Here are some yummy, simple recipes to try this weekend

Easy turkey sandwiches: mix mayo, chopped celery, turkey, salt and pepper in a bowl. Add to toasted bread and serve with a bowl of your favourite soup (this was our lunch today it was simple and it was delicious!)

Turkey Noodle Soup – this homemade option is great but if you are pressed for time just add leftover turkey to a packaged Lipton soup.

Turkey Chili & Rice Tacos

Turkey Caesar Salad

Ham & Swiss Pinwheels ( the perfect appetizer, breakfast or snack) Roll out one sheet of puff pastry – you can find this in the frozen section at the grocery store. Add leftover ham and swiss, roll and cut into pinwheels. Bake according to package directions. YUM!

Cuban Fried Rice

Wild Rice & Ham Chowder

Ham & Cheese Quiche

Mashed Potatoes

Potato Cakes

Shepherd’s Pie

Potato Salmon Cakes

wishing you all a wonderful day!

day 12

It’s day 12 everyone!

Thank you so much for following along the 12 days of Christmas as I went through holiday baking, decorating, fashion etc.

Today I am posting my holiday menu for tonight’s Christmas Eve dinner.

my homemade spinach dip- I don’t have a measurable recipe for the way I make it but this recipe looks awesome!

Smoked salmon rounds- purchase sliced pumpernickel load and use a cookie cutter to cut rounds. Use cake frosting pipe to make a round of chive cream cheese, place a piece of smoked salmon on top!

For more holiday appetizers check out this post!

Roast turkey (with crispy skin- yum!)

Slow cooking pot roast from M&M Meat Shops- comes ready to cook with marinade and it’s delicious

Garlic Mashed Potatoes (one of my favourite sides)

Cabbage Salad with Goat Cheese

Shredded Brussels Sprouts add bacon! (a family favourite)

Buns and homemade butter

A guest is bringing an assortment so that will be a surprise 🙂

If you’re looking for inspiration, here are some dessert recipes I’ve posted about throughout our special
